Need a little...

It seems to be a perfect time for a little encouragement from the Lord.
Just in my small corner of the world, I have 2 friends that are having surgery this week for breast cancer, 2 friends dealing with difficult marriage situations and another friend who is dealing with her 8 year old's battle with leukemia.

My heart goes out to our neighbors in Texas that are just now beginning to pick up the pieces of their homes and lives; as well as those who were bruised by yesterday's financial crisis.

Let us remember that we have:
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my HOPE comes from Him. Psalm 62:5

When I put my hope in the Lord, and seek Him, then I will find:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the PEACE which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

To enjoy the blessings of true HOPE and PEACE, we must have:
In Him and through FAITH in Him, we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Ephesians 3;12

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.  Isaiah 54:10

These three frames hang in my bonus room.  I've looked at them a hundred times, but today, they seem to mean so much more.

*For an easy corner pick-me-up , I found these little word plates in the scrapbooking section, chose some coordinating paper and put them in these cheap little frames from Walmart.
Big impact.  Little price...   $13 for the whole thing

  1. Hey Girl, Just checkin in quickly. Wanted to see your updates. I am safe in TX with no power, but rigged the computer to the car battery for a quick sanity break. I will be praying today for your friends. What a heavy load you carry for them. Update us on their surgeries. I have nothing to complain about with a bit of trying to be a pioneer woman. Talk to you soon.

  2. Thank you so much for the encouragement. My husband's company was just bought out and is moving to TX. He turned down the job since it's a little hard to move away from your family homestead....that was before Monday and he is in the financial industry. sigh...We are on an amazing God watch because I know He will show up big time in all of this. I would take unemployment any day ahead of cancer, or marital issues so it's all a matter of perspective. I will be praying for your friends.

And on a lighter note...can I JUST SAY NO ABSOLUTE WAY on the tea cart!! I am trying to keep my covetous little sinful self in check, but I am finding it hard with that amazing STEAL!! You go girl!!! That's one to pass down to your kiddos.
