Over the weekend we did a $0.00 makeover ... my favorite kind!
Above is the 'after' picture of the toilet room of the master bath.
Before:
It was time to get rid of the lemon yellow, gold picture frame, and shiny towel bar.
The magazine rack used to be kiwi green and the picket fence box was dark green. A can of brown spray paint unified both along with the previously black star. I can't believe it took us this long to change this little room. It is so soothing now!
Check out some other makeovers here. Between Naps on the Porch has a weekly Metamorphosis Monday that is oh-so inspiring!
Lindsay is having a '$5 or less' party here.
yeah for makeovers.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!!!
One of my goals for April is to actually get curtains up in my bathroom. Any curtains. Oh, and paint. I still have the prime coat from three years ago.
ReplyDeleteI wish I were kidding.
And I'm laughing out loud that my word verification is "colore".
Cute redo....love the kinds where zero money is involved.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I really like the way your transformed this for no $.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
I love it. Doesn't it just do your heart good to have a room redone and especially for free. It seems like some of the smallest changes make the biggest difference. I love the green and the accessories are just stunning. Great job. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeletePaint and Freebies...don't ya just LOVE them! Good makeover....
ReplyDeleteLove that paint color and its price tag!
ReplyDeleteLooks much better. So fresh & new and the best part is that it cost you nothing but time. Fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shade of green, and you can't beat $0.
ReplyDeleteNice job on the re-do
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have been to this castle at the top of your blog. Beautiful place!! Beautiful photo!!! Beautiful sentiment!!
ReplyDeletecertainly the best kind of makeover, no money spent. However, it turned out so lovely, the green walls are very pretty.

It looks great! I love makeovers on the cheap! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it, and free is awesome!! I'm wondering if you painted the tp holder, too. I'm seeing a lot of painted brass on blogs and design shows.
ReplyDeleteGreat makeover. Gotta love spray paint! Your green paint may be leftover but it is a really nice colour and a great way to save money :) I have a very similar star in a cream colour with the texture on it. I spray painted some old brass hooks black for our ensuite bath to save money. The kids do much better with hooks than towel bars (and I don't obsess about crooked towels!)
ReplyDeleteNice!! That was a big change that didn't take much effort. Love it!
ReplyDeleteFabulous do over.
ReplyDeleteFollowed your link from the trash to treasure party and really enjoyed reading your creative posts. Thanks for sharing the inspiration.
Inexpensive makeovers are great, but free is even better! Awesome job!
