Follow Up from Yesterday

I am completely overwhelmed by the graciousness of the comments from my previous post. While I was just having a nice little pity party, it seems that I have touched a nerve. I had no idea that so many other women were dealing with some of the same issues. Bless you for coming forth and sharing your heart. Let us walk away from this post knowing that we are created as individuals with individual talents and that we are VALUABLE to God regardless of our writing ability, cooking moxie or homemaking talents.

I, in no way, meant for this to come across as directed toward any specific person or blog. It was written as culmination of reading multiple 'mega blogs' and me focusing on others rather than just enjoying the ride.

Be blessed and encouraged today!!!

  1. Hi there! Just wanted you to know that I check my dashboard every day to see if you have posted! I love your writing (I think I've said it before a few times)...you have a gift girl! Please keep writing and keep sharing what is on your heart! How many exclamation marks am I going to use here? Okay, so that was a question mark! But you get the idea!

A few months ago, I was feeling discouraged by low comments, but then realized anew, that I'm doing this for ME and for my children. I just created a second blog that is just my photos...and I already know I'm NO PRO...but I wanted to do it for my family and for me.

God bless you. By the way, I forgot to mention I love your new blog title/picture. Awesome!!!

  2. Love your blog and it is hard to feel like you measure up to so many talented people in blogland. I look at it as such a blessing to be able to take inspiration from all the talent that I see. We all have different talents and we all can learn so much. I really enjoy this world of blogging. Hugs, Marty

  3. Hey Sweet Friend. Ok, I have to tell you that I have not been on any blogs for weeks because of computer keeps getting locked up. So today I am at the car dealership waiting on my car to be serviced and brought my computer. Your blog was the FIRST one I wanted to check! I saw your post from yesterday. Oh, I have had those same feelings before. God has reminded me that we all have special gifts and talents. Thanks for sharing your feelings and as always, I am encouraged. And as you know from reading my blog, I am not a writer! I start sentences with And. LOL

  4. I read Chatting At The Sky's blog last week where she encouraged us to think about why we're writing. That was the neatest thing to sit down and do.

I ran across your blog from a Nester link and immediately saved it in on of my favorites.

You had written about our tone in the home and that is a subject that is very near and dear to my heart. You even gave me permission to repost it on my blog, it was a great one.

You seem like such a kindred spirit though and your blog is always an encouragment when I stop by! Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on life and your yummy granola recipes!
