A Little Love

Most holidays (with the exception of 4th of July) are toward the end of the month, which gives me plenty of time to decorate and prepare. Well, unless you decorate for Labor Day --?? However, if Congress ever decides to pass a law to move Valentine's Day to, say, 2/25 they would get my vote. Since it is such a short season, I don't do much decorating for Valentines.
This is the extent of Valentines decor around here. Well, unless you count the Valentine M&Ms I put in the glass bowl. I change out my stocking caps and snowflakes for felt hearts, and throw in a red candle.
I'm all about spreading a little love, but I don't like to go overboard on the red-and-pink decor.

Do you add a little red this time of year?

I love the little hearts hanging form the branches. So simple and something my three daughters could easily help to make. Thanks for the inspiration. We might have to do it today. I'll link back to you if it is blog material.

I blogged about this recently. How I did not want to go all crazy with pink and red on my mantle for Valentine's. But who am I kidding? ever since my oldest daughter was born on Valentine's Day, I have loved to decorate for it! I just added some red today and am rooting around the house to see what else I can do!

YES! Red, pink, white and a touch of purple...a couple of years ago I bought the $1 mailboxes from Target. I try to put a note or some thing in each mail box until Feb. 14th...just a little love note I guess.

The kids love it...although, I don't know if its the surprise, the note or the possibility of getting a Hershey kiss that they love more? ;-)

Darling! I usually put out a Snoopy Valentine's garden flag, and a heart wreath on the front door. Inside, I do maybe one table centerpiece/runner. You've inspired!

I have a small box of Valentine's stuff. Some of my winter stuff is red so I keep it out through February since it's still wintery cold.

I think your mantle looks darling - so wintery and delicate. I do have valentines decorations, but I rarely get them out. I guess I'm still tired for Christmas decors. But this year I bought some window stick on things at Target (never done that before) and my daughter put them on the other day. They're really juvenile looking, but I liked the pretty colors so.....

I do decorate for Easter, so I kind of save up my decorating energy for that!

The felt hearts are adorable. I don't do much decorating for Valentines day. I haven't made a trip to Dollar Rama to be tempted yet! So who knows I might come home with something with a dash of red, or chocolate!

Honey, you know that I don't decorate for V-Day. If I did, I'm thinking the world would stop turning.

BUT. I'm thinking I needs to get me some sticks like yours. I think I could hang with sticks. And yours look so stinkin' cute.

And that picture....still gorgeous!
