May I Suggest...

Ever get tired of the car mess? Me too. Now that the kids are older, the crumbs are much more manageable, but I still have stuff. I keep this basket in my front seat to contain all of my papers, books, coupons, snacks etc...
A dear friend gave it to me as a gift and I use it all the time. It's the perfect size and durable. Want one? Last year Target had some solid color ones in their spring/summer picnic collection, so keep your eye out this spring. I've also seen some cute ones in Hallmark stores.

Are your hands suffering from the winter weather? We are constantly bathing our bodies in using hand sanitizer. I keep this in the car because it is not as harsh on my skin and the smell isn't perfumy:

I found it at Harris Teeter (grocery) in the pharmacy section.

Since the theme of the day is the car, I thought I'd share the best $4 I've ever spent:
We keep one of these in the backseat and it has greatly improved the quality of life back there. When the kids were little my husband used to say that he didn't have to worry if we got stranded because we could live for a week off the cheerios, goldfish, and half eaten chicken nuggets hidden in the backseat. Now I guess we'll just starve. :)

Well, the kids will starve. I'll live off of these:
Swoon. My mother-in-law brought these back from a recent trip to NYC. A little piece of heaven in your mouth. They are so rich and delicious I only eat 3-4 and I am satisfied. Shocking. Did I mention how pretty they are? They have a shimmer. What girl doesn't like a little shimmer?

Tell me about something you keep in your car.

I love your car basket. I think a fabric basket that has some weight. I have a small basket for little odds and ends, but sometimes it goes flying and dumps--not helpful.

Also--the trash thing. I haven't had one in a while and I need one.

My car is honestly the most embarrassing thing anywhere...so thanks for reminding me it doesn't have to be!

I LOVE the paisley tote. I bought one for my sister-in-law for her birthday and I think she has loved it!

My Mom always gives me the air sick bags from the airplane and I keep them in my glove box. The girls are all older and don't get car sick nearly as often, but they are perfect to have.
(sorry if that was gross)

Too much mess... unfortunately. One thing I have kept recently is multiplication table papers. LOL!

Oh, we have all kinds of things....
Currently, we have books, snack crumbs, stuff animals, cups, cd's sunglasses, goodwill box, stroller and the list goes on.

Something my car does not have but needs is a rubber floor with a drain. That way I could just hose it down!

Since it's usually just me in my car... & I have the cloth basket just like yours (that YOU gave me), my only mess is extra coupons that I don't use.
I have to confess... at your house when we were keeping the kids while you went out for your Valentine's dinner, I tasted your mint M & M's, but I only ate 2! And they are FABULOUS!

Dear Lord please forgive me for coveting that cute little yellow basket Amen. :) haha

We cleaned out our car last week-i put diapers, wipes, bottle water and snacks in a small yellow and red checked basket. We also keep hand sanitizer.

Now the key has been-BRINGING ALL THE PAPERS & COATS IN EVERY TIME. WHEW!!

Last year when the flu season was REALLY bad, I kept a can of Lysol and a roll of paper towels. Girl, don't even think I didn't spray those buggies down at the store before we went in. If you want to get some looks try that :)!

I have two bags of clothes that need to go to Goodwill. They've been riding around with me for 2 months.

I also have a polar fleece 'car' blanket for each kid. My van has over 140,000 miles on it and just is case we get stranded, we are prepared to stay warm!

what do I keep in my car?!!

EV.UH.REE.THANG!!

My husband calls it another 'closet' of the house!

I SO want a car basket a local boutique-ish store sells them here in town!! I've had my eye on it for several months!

Those M&M's are making me swoon, indeed: mint chocolate and shimmer, two things I adore!

I always keep a roll of paper towels! And my kids have a small hand-crocheted afghan that is just big enough to cover a lap and legs. It keeps them warm when the air conditioning gets all kadawappy!

I'm sorry...I can't really think now...those m&ms are calling too loudly. ;)

Lurve the cute basket.

I actually am trying NOT to keep things in my car. The old: bring it in, take it back out principle. I'll let you know how that works for me. But I do find the following helpful:
* scissors (in a safe place)for tags and other random needs
* a pen and a pencil (homework on the fly, you know)
* a plastic garbage bag from the grocery store (just in case we need to act like we have tidy car if we have friends to take home) for storing trash or other junk.
* hand cream, and hand sanitizer.

OH, almost forgot! I like to keep my reusable grocery bags in my car. I have a terrible habit of forgetting them, so I'm trying to train myself to unload groceries and load them back in the trunk.

I need some more organization in my big ole van. Like the tote! And those M&Ms! Wow!

The thing I keep in the van that is VERY important to me is my bag of baby carriers. There are several different styles and it has been a real blessing to have those along.

Blessings,
Amy

Hardly anything, as every seat and storage spot is taken with carpool kids and backpacks. Love your basket!

I have a cute vintage metal lunchbox stocked with healthy snacks for when the munchies hit when we're out & about.
