You're Never Too Old...

To feel giddy when you see the first gorgeous sign of fall:
Or to try something new:
Today my dad and I took a long ride (83 miles, but who's counting) through the winding roads of the NC mountains. The same roads that I've been banned from since two of my children turn green at the mere thought of a curvy road. It was the first time I've ever been on a motorcycle and I loved every minute. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day: 55 degrees, windy and sunny. He has these cool headphone thingamajigs so we chatted for over two hours. Without interruption.
We are enjoying a few days with my parents in the mountains for our fall break. There just might be a little spoiling going on around here. And I'm not just talking about the kids. ;)

Gretchen, what a treasure to spend time with your dad enjoying the leaves and the scenery. Soak up every minute of the spoiling, girl.
Enjoy!

What a great adventure! I bet it WAS beautiful riding those curvy roads on the motorcycle. What is even better is the chatting time with your Dad. :) Glad you are enjoying yourself!

There's a reason I told my parents to come while C was out of town.

I don't like to share them :)
