I think I want to be buried with this stuff. It is divine. If you are a fan of apple butter, you just met your soul mate.
My mom gave me this colander for Christmas last year and it has been one of my most used kitchen items. It is big enough to hold a giant pot of pasta but it collapses for easy storage and fits in the dishwasher leaving plenty of room for everything else.
It makes a great gift and can be found at large home stores such as Target and Bed Bath and Beyond.
I really like the fun factor that blue corn chips give a dish but the fun usually stops when I take a bite and they taste like cardboard. Until yesterday.
These blue corn chips from Trader Joes are light and delish.
Don't like to eat your chips plain? Me neither. How about a little sumpin' like this:
Chipotle Pepper Hummus from TJ's. Mmmm!!!
*No compensation has been made by Trader Joes for these suggestions. It is just a great place to find new and unusual stuff. Especially pumpkin butter.

Ok...so not fair!!! We do not have a Trader Joes down here...hummm...maybe I see a "care" package in my future! Miss you all!
so when i read this post, i first thought it said that your mom gave you a calendar. i was looking at your pictures wondering why in the world a colander was up there and where in the world the calendar was. um. duh :)
I do love TJ's. I was so glad when one finally opened in Chapel Hill--just about 15 minutes from my house.
Thanks for the tips! Hope you're having a great week!
Mmmmmm, you can put some of that pumpkin butter in my stocking...
I may have to try and make some pumpkin butter - Everyone's got pie pumpkins on sale this week.
Or I could save myself three hours and just drive to TJ's....
So, ok... YUM. You just made me hungry. Thanks.
