Saying Goodbye to Summer

Don't you wish you could capture time in a bottle and save it for later? As summer comes to a close, I feel a little melancholy. Not because the weather is changing; but rather because it is an end of a season of life, of sorts. I look back at pictures from summers past and grin at their little tiny bodies in adorable bathing suits and sigh with a contented, yet almost mournful sigh. How did they grow so fast? It happened right before me and I stood by, blissfully unaware. Oh to stop the moments and treasure them forever! That's what cameras are for, right? :)

I look forward to the fall and all that it has to offer, but today I am going to relish in the last glimmers of summer.

~~~Happy Labor Day Weekend~~~
This brought tears to my eyes. But it isn't taking much these days to do that, as I'm missing my girls like crazy and remembering all those lazy days of staying home when they were all so small..........wanting to have captured some time in a bottle myself today.
It seems each season and with each picture we all want to stop time and savor. Hope you have a super weekend. Fabulous pictures. Hugs, Marty
Saying "goodbye" to another wonderful summer is hard to do, especially knowing that next summer they will be more "grown"... But that's what life is & I'm so thankful to be a part of yours!
Made me think of Jim Croce. . . I always loved the song "Time in a Bottle."
Somehow I'm always glad to see summer come to an end; I guess it's because I'm glad for the end of hot weather. But the years fly by so fast! It's bittersweet.
My first baby is now 10, and I honestly don't know how time flew by so fast! When I try to look back on past memories, what her little voice sounded like when she was a toddler, I can't remember. This scares me! Thank goodness for video cameras, digital cameras, voice recorders, and so on, because I would just forget everything!
