Top 10

Reasons I am in denial about getting old:

10. I love the taste of Kashi, but can't eat it because of the gastrocolic effect it may or may not cause throughout the course of the day.
9. Bathing suit season is upon us. The need for underwire just became a sad reality.
8. I went shopping with my mom and 2 daughters yesterday. The ol' shopping stamina isn't what it used to be. I guess I'm out of practice... anyone want to help me train?
7. I've put off coloring my hair for a week, hoping that if I use enough hairspray, the height of my locks will hide the dark stripe running down my part. Not to mention the fact that I've looked like I'm headed to Texas for a Baptist state convention.
6. I love swim minis. They hide a multitude of oreos sins.
5. Happy hour includes Sonic and 1/2 price Frappuccinos at Starbucks. Happy. Very, very happy.
4. I find myself making strange guttural noises when getting up from the couch.
3. The fact that I'm even doing a post about this subject. 'Nough said.
2. When trying on bridesmaid dresses I discovered, much to my astonishment (yeah right), that I no longer have the body of a 20 year old. Sigh. Deep, sad, sigh.
1. I found myself watching the Teeter HangUps infomercial and wondering how many hours a day I would need to hang upside down to defy the effects of gravity.

Anyone experiencing denial today?

yes, lots of denial here.
Like plucking gray hairs from head, it means complete denial that they are even there.
BTW, this is not a good idea.

I'm completely with you...on all counts, but my stripe is more gray than dark, and I don't like Kashi. Oh, and I've never heard of Teeter HangUps...but I'm intrigued!

Oh sweet friend, you made me laugh today! So, so true! What about when your 3 year old is sitting in your lap and says 'I'm pushing all your belly' as she pokes her hand in your belly and it disappears? hmm... Or wondering if they make little tiny clothespins I can clip way up on my forehead under my hair to hold up the creases that have gotten quite comfortable on my forehead.
I think I'm going to go have a couple oreos... then go shopping for a cute swim mini, and after that maybe cut some bangs :)

love you! e

The stripe running down my part is gray, not dark. Does that help any?

I can't deny the aging anymore for many reasons...

Just last night I told Brian he gets either clean laundry or a clean house cause I'm getting too old to get everything done on top of everything else and I need an "afternoon lull time" where I sit in a deep fog.

Yep.....age is creeping up on me too!

Hilarious! Don't worry, I am only 24 and am already in need of underwire swimsuits. Thanks, kids!

Denial. Yep, that's me.

Let's just say, I'm not really a brunette, I just play one in real life.

My makeup drawer has more anti-aging supplies than makeup.

And..my bathing suit for this season has twice the fabric my cheerleading uniform had 25 years ago.

sigh.

That gave me a good laugh! I just keep telling myself, "I'm not old, I'm not old." So repeat after me..."I am not old. I am not old." Oh wait, you don't have to repeat that because you are not old!

I am right there with ya. The stripe down the middle of my head is getting fixed...but not for two more weeks. Until then the ball cap is my dearest friend!

at least you're aware of your hair (although i think it always looks so good!) . . . yesterday afternoon, i noticed these tiny white specs in one particular area of my hair. i touched them, they were sticky. nice, TZ . . . so apparently i must have gotten too excited when brushing my teeth & gave myself tiny, sticky white specs. but didn't discover them 'til most of the day is done, of course. oh well. i figure if that was the worst of my day, i have a lot to be thankful for. ;)

oh, & my current denial, of couse, is that my baby is graduating from preschool. (sniff, sniff)

Profile picture=gorgeousness personified!

Hairapy Tomorrow!!!!!!!

When i get out of bed in the morning...as I walk towards the bathroom, I look like a hunched over neanderthal. By the time I get there, I'm almost upright with the rest of humanity.

And I can be crabby, too. (hides face)

If #9 just became a reality for you, then you are a very blessed woman! Been there too long myself...
